But of COURSE, you silly woman!
And how very nice of you to plant & maintain it JUST for that purpose!
That's funny!

( Check out my blog when you have a second - check my " Tic Tac " tag. I have a February post with a picture of Tic Tac all curled up nicely in her ( MY! ) terrarium, all happyz...)

Hey there! Fred here from Cyanide. You've been posting comments on my blog and I only just realised it is you CBF!!! Hey, thanks for the comments, it's kinda nice to see the "1 comment" there on my posts.
Oh, and I forgot, I read your info on nutrition and I was just wondering if you had any nutritional tips for thyroid problems? My good friend had hyperthyroidism so badly tht she nearly had heart failure, but the meds they put her on made her get hypOthyroidism and problems with ck (?) levels and her reflexes etc, so her poor body is going through hell at the moment and they think radioactive iodine or surgery are her only options. I'm sure she would jump at the chance of a natural solution (or even just something to help her get through it) Anyway, I'd be interested to hear any info you may have stumbled across in your researches.

Hmm...maybe cats like to sleep on organic matter? Could be related to the box phenomenon....

Awww! Why don't you get a pic of that? I bet that's cute. Everyone will be wanting a "bowl full of kitty" to sit on their table!

I' ll have to try to get one. I never seem to be able to find the camera when I want it. We are gutting our house (while we live in it.) and everything is in big piles all over everywhere. We are nearly done, but the construction mess just gets bigger and bigger.
I can understand that! Careful of breathing all that dust/plaster not good! I know this is a late post but was making a round in the "hood" and wanted to drop by. Chow!

Well I'm REALLY late but I read this post and had to smile. I have to concur with YGRS. My cats would have done the same thing. They would've fought over who got to sleep in there. Either that or they would have dug it all up and/or used it for a cat box. But we LOVE 'em!!
Update- they did start using it as a cat box, and now they are in solitary confinement/litter box boot camp, bless their hearts. Here I am, the design snob, with my lovely bowl of cat pee on my farmhouse table...But I did get some pictures, and will post them when I figure out the whole hooking up the digital camera to the compy thing...

Many years ago, I had a GORGEOUS BIG Jade plant on the floor in my livingroom. It was healthy and beautiful - probably stood about 2 1/2 foot high in the planter --- and the planter was a beautiful deep dark delft blue pottery one.
Months go by, and I'm starting to notice that the Jade Plant That I Love is starting to look not so good - leaves starting to UNplump - turning yellow here and there...
Oh yeah...eventually I realized what wonderful litterbox it was for my then-kitties, Tic Tac and Toe...I couldn't believe they KILLED my beautiful Jade Plant That I Loved. . .
" cat pee on my farmhouse table " --- That sounds like it could be a title for a pastel still-life, kRista...&:o)
