Oof ow squint wince cringe.
I am so sorry to hear this. Would a head rub and cup of tea help?
Or drop a big black anvil on you like in the cartoons? Tweet-tweet and little swirly stars.
Like Wyle E. Coyote, you too will always come back to life.
Beep-beep.
Thanks Pyrit: I saw a book title at borders and thought of you. What is the only thing cooler than Pyrits? Vampirates, of course...
kRista - Are things better now? I hope so.
I have a Vox neighbor, wbrosie, who also has an autistic child. A 16 year old autistic son. I mentioned you to her and she would like to "meet" you. Would you like to be Vox neighbors? She lives in Canada and works with useta hadda kitteh.

Hi kRista,

Glad your okay, but sorry things are so hectic for you. Any transistion around here is tough, so I can only imagine what you're going thru. My son is doing a little better in school with the ADDS. They're beginning to wonder if he was misdiagnosed. I'll tell you more later when I have a chance to email you, k? Hugz!

[this is good]
It's now June 12th and I got a PM from you today. So I guess you survive-ded, right? ;-)
Aren't they always misdiagnosed? These "behavior" illnesses are misdiagnosed because they are looking at all the wrong things. Behavior problems are the symptom, not the disease. My daughter was misdiagnosed as well. They said she had OCD, but it was really autistic stimming, once we took care of her organic sensory issues, the stimming went away. It is so frustrating to have to figure it out yourself, especially when doctors treat you like you're an idiot for suggesting they might be wrong. Does he have any, and I mean any, other symptoms that you can think of? It doesn't matter if they seem unrelated- they are probably very related. Stomach problems, bathroom issues? Is he a picky eater? Does he get head aches or has sleep problems? I get really passionate about this, because more often than not, these kids have an easily solvable illness that the medical profession has overlooked in favor of just giving the kid prozac. Ok, rant over.:)
Yes, survival, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger- that is the whole mantra.
